Check out the very atmospheric and intriguing trailer for THE IMPOSTER, a film about an abducted young boy who is found 3 years later, but turns out to be not who he seems. I got a chill in my spine watching the trailer alone, so I’m definitely going to check this movie out for sure.

Check out the teaser trailer for the new Bond movie Skyfall, in theaters November 2012.

So I guess while I was at work the trailer for Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer’s GANGSTER SQUAD dropped. The film stars Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Anthony Mackie and Nick Nolte (also known as the best goddamn cast you’ll ever get).

Movie Trailer of the Day: Argo, Ben Affleck’s third film as director, is a political thriller — based on true events — about an operation to rescue six diplomats hiding in Tehran during the Iranian revolution in 1979.

In addition to Affleck, the killer cast includes Alan Arkin, Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, Michael Parks, Kyle Chandler, Tate Donovan, Clea DuVall, Victor Garber, and Taylor Schilling. In theaters September 14.

So apparently while I was selling my soul to my college institution, the Magic Mike trailer dropped today.

……..Sweet baby Jesus.

A FANTASTIC FEAR OF EVERYTHING

Another film I’m excited to see this summer is A Fantastic Fear of Everything, in which Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) stars as a children’s book author who quite literally has every phobia imaginable. The film looks quirky and entertaining, visually interesting, and almost reminds me of Big Fish, or at least something Tim Burton has directed. Fun fact: this film was directed by Crispian Mills, the former frontman of Kula Shaker (if you’re a child of the 90s, you’ll know who he is)!

Probably one of the films I’m most interested in seeing this year, Happily Never After is a film that promises to be unconventional, unsettling, but breathtaking and haunting as well. From the trailer, we never really know what we’re in for, but all we know is that we’re left slightly perturbed and definitely intrigued. This was a low budget film, but you wouldn’t know it from how visually engaging it looks.

LOLA VERSUS stars Greta Gerwig, Joel Kinnaman and Zoe Lister Jones and revolves around a woman whose fiancé breaks up with her three weeks before their wedding. She’s completely destroyed and has to be nursed back into the real world by her friends. While it’s definitely along the same lines as Eat Pray Love and Under the Tuscan Sun, it seems to have a little bit more of an exuberant, lighthearted quality to it.

[Flash 10 is required to watch video]

Check out the full-length trailer of Total Recall, a remake of the 1990 original starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston and John Cho, and is directed by Underworld filmmaker Len Wiseman. Based on a story by sci-fi maestro Philip K. Dick, the futuristic film follows Douglas Quaid (Farrell) as he discovers what is real and what isn’t after getting involved with Rekall, a company that turns dreams into reality. When things go horribly awry for him, he goes on the run, aided by a rebel fighter (played by Biel). All I can say is, holy swiveling camera in that fight scene with Colin Farrell!

Check out the trailer for Safety Not Guaranteed, a quirky comedy about a man who places an ad in the paper for a partner in his time travels. Starring Mark Duplass, Aubrey Plaza and Jake M. Johnson, this film is sort of Doctor Who meets 500 Days of Summer with a dash of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and just a pinch of I Heart Huckabees. In other words, it contains all the elements I like and so naturally, I’m all in.
